Andromeda and Chernobyl

The book “Andromeda” talks about the first and not
improbable biological crisis of the Earth history . The
scientists who were studying the virus Andromeda were
worried and afraid of the diffusion of the virus because
they didn’t know how it spreads itself. They couldn’t stop
infection because they didn’t know the virus: in the
beginning they thought to throw an atomic bomb to eliminate
the virus but, by their analysis, they understood that this
solution was very dangerous.
The fear of the effects of the calamity was very big when,
in 1986 in Ukraina a nuclear station exploded and released a
lot of tossic substances in the air. People knew the danger,
but they weren’t ready to face it. A lot of people died
because of these substances and all the others were hit by
radiations. They fell ill and contracted a lot of cancers.
Even today there are news about the explosion: people
undergoed a lot of mutations and nowadays have got some
deformations. All calamities stir up fear in the people, but
today, science and new knowledge permit to limit the dangers
of catastrophes.
