Human race vulnerability

The human race is very vulnerable: infact, as we have seen, we are threatened by catastrophes like Chernobyl or possible catastrophes like birdflu epidemics. Chrichton has imagined a possible cause for the human destruction: a new virus that comes from the space and that menaces the life of men. Naturally this story is invented but it is probable. Scientists have done enormous progresses in medecine: a lot of sickness are curable today. Not only the science progress helps the human genus to survive. Some scientists have discovered that religion can help people to live better: in fact in an article of “Corriere della sera” of 23rd April 2006 are described all the advantages of religion. Religion favours social cohesion, it prolongs life and makes it better. A religious man is hardly depressed, he’s protected from cardiac sicknesses, he isn’t used to drugs and alcohol, his humour is better, respiration and blood circulation are better too. Besides patients recover faster. The scientific explanation is that in our DNA there is a gene which supports spirituality.
