Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

Diary of the classes looking for the world in this play

The two classes have read the play. Unfortunately, after this first step, the Turkish partners have interrupted their collaboration. The Italian students have produced some works about it so the "editorial staff" of The World in a Book's Website have decided to publish it to enrich the project's library.

January 2006: A new tandem is in the project, composed of an Italia school, Liceo Classico Statale “Da Vigo” of Rapallo (Genoa), and Iligan City East High School-Sta. Filomena of Lanao del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines. They will read together Romeo and Juliet , the wonderful play by William Shakespeare.

Mail exchange between Exquil and the Italian teachers (Tiziana and Silvia)

Hi Exquil!

We are your Italian colleagues, we were extremely happy when we knew you would like to correspond with us! We have a booklet, which is an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet, ready to be sent by post to you. Just let us know your school's address or your own home address! We will also have the text on line in the area reserved for our schools, but we think it would be fine to be able to read the same book as well. Hope to hear from you soon, best regards, Silvia and Tiziana

Dear Silvia and Tiziana,

I am very happy that you responded my request. I am very excited to know you and building a great ties between your school and my school. I know you have been very advanced in terms of education and technology. Thank you very much Silvia and Tiziana. I just couldn't believe your utmost kindness and generousity. May God continue to bless all of you there! Hope to hear you soon. Please keep me in touch.
respectfully, EXQUIL BRYAN P. ARON

Dear Exquil,
We are sending you the booklet: hope you may receive it as soon as possible. In any case you already have the first two chapters, so that you can start. Daniela has published the Romeo and Juliet schedule, so that we know the time table of the work. If you suggest something different about it, please let us know. Both of us, we have to send Daniela our web site addresses. Ours is: www.davigo.191.it but it's still "under construction". Daniela also needs to receive some photos of our students and of our schools. As for the photos of the students, if they are still underage, we need a written permission of their parents to have them published on an educational forum. We still have problems in connecting and posting messages to the forum, that’s why we are sending you a private message now. Best regards. Silvia and Tiziana
