Chapters 11 and 12

Settings: the Chocolate Shop, the street, Charlie’s home.
Characters: Charlie, the shopkeeper, the crowd, Charlie’s
parents and Charlie’s grandparents.
Summary: in the eleventh chapter, Charlie goes into the
shop and, since he is very hungry, he asks the shopkeeper one
bar of Wonka’s “Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight”. The
shopkeeper is very fat and he takes one bar of chocolate and
gives it to Charlie. The starving boy quickly eats the chocolate
bar and is as hungry as a lion; therefore he asks the shopkeeper
another bar and pays it with the little money that he has.
Charlie tears off the wrapper and suddenly he sees the glow of
THE GOLDEN TICKET!!! Charlie doesn’t believe that he has found
the last golden ticket, he cries of joy. The whole crowd is
around the lucky founder and they would like to steal the golden
ticket so Charlie runs runs and runs until he arrives home.
The twelfth chapter Charlie enters home and shouts: “ I have
found the last golden ticket!!!!”
All the family is incredulous… … Mr. Buckets takes the golden
ticket and he reads the message that Mr. Willy Wonka had written
behind the golden ticket for the founders. The message says that
on the first day of February the founders with one member of
their family must go to Wonka’s factory to visit it. The whole
family is very happy and at the end all together go to bed.
Personal comments: we have chosen these chapters, because
there are enjoyable; in fact when we have read them, immediately
we were happy because Charlie had found the last Golden Ticket,
therefore he was very lucky.
We were very curious about the message that was written by Willy
Wonka behind the ticket in fact we like the chapter number 12
that talks about the instructions for the lucky persons that can
visit the factory. After that we have read these chapters, we
wanted to go on reading to know how the story finishes.
Relevant quotations: “I’m awfully glad you got it. Good
luck to you, sonny.”
The shopkeeper said this sentence and we have chosen it because
we have thought that the shopkeeper is an honest person; on the
contrary the whole crowd that wanted to catch the Golden Ticket,
is jealous and envious.
”The fifth Golden Ticket, mother, and I’ve found it.”
We have written this sentence, because in it we have found the
happiness of the Little boy and it gives us a lot of joy.
