Chapter 19

Settings:
the most important room of Wonka’s factory: the inviting room.
Characters: Mr Wonka, Oompa-loopas, Charlie, Mike, Veruca.
Summary: in this chapter we explain the new inventions and the secrets contained in the Inventing room. This room is the most important of the entire factory, in this room they are cooking the new recipes of Mr Wonka. In the Inventing room Mr Wonka tells the four children that they mustn’t touch the delicious things in the Iron Machine. The Iron Machine is the utensil used by Mr Wonka for the preparation of the sweets. The four children and their parents just in the Inventing Room smell the fragrance of the sweets and hear the clanking of the Iron Machine. Mr Wonka presents two products of the Iron Machine:
1: Everlasting Gobstoppers
2: Hair Toffee
1st: The Everlasting Gobstoppers is a particular chewing gum because its flavour has no end, this chewing gum must not be chewed but sucked because it breaks the teeth.
2nd: The hair toffe it is a tablet that makes the hair and the beard
lengthen.
Relevant quotation: “This is the most important room in the entire factory”
This sentence is very effective, because when we read this chapter immediately we imagine the settings. We think that this sentence is very meaningful, because it summarizes the whole chapter. In fact we have the description of the inventing room. The room is a highlight of all factory. In this room, there are the new inventions and the new secrets.
Chapter 20
Settings:
the most important room of Wonka’s factory: the inviting room.

Summary:
in this chapter Mr Wonka with the four children visits the room of the secrets. In this room there is the machine of the chewing gum. Mr Wonka pushes three buttons and the machine starts working. The four children with their parents hear many noises and they see a strange liquid that changes colour. After a few minutes from the machine a grey bar goes out: it is a strange chewing gum type.
Relevant quotation: “There was a moment of silence.” In this chapter, precisely when we see the great machine of M.Wonka, all the reading was wrapped by an enigmatic silence.
