Computer English course

In this course
you will improve your knowledge about computers. At the end of the module
you will be able to answer these questions:
-
What is a computer?
-
What are the main components of a
computer?
-
What does each component do?
-
What can people do with a computer?
-
What are the principal typologies of
programs?
-
What are the main steps in the
history of computers?
While you are working you can use some Internet resources that will help
you resolve problems concerning the unknown words you will find in the
texts and the activities of the module. Here are two useful dictonaries
you can find on the Web:
http://www.wordreference.com/it/:
an online dictionary (English/Italian, Italian English + an English
monolingual dictionary).
Tip:
before you start working, open the dictionary’s web page and minimize it
by clicking on the – sign at the right top corner of the page, so that you
can re-open it when you need to check the meaning of a word.
