Thriller
Chapter 1
As the two were
surveying the contours of the landscape, Dan snapped his
head back as though someone or something had hit him in
the face. He fell down hard landing on his back on top
of some heavy brush. Henry quietly called over to ask
what all the ruckus was. Dan, by this time, was holding
on to the side of his face.
Shaking his head and upset at the situation, Henry ran
over to see what had happened. Painfully, Dan removed
his hand from his cheek to show Henry what the problem
was. From the bottom of his right eye to below the right
side of his mouth was a deep six inch scratch. A gouge
would be a better way to describe the wound. Blood
covered the side of Dan's face with splatters covering
the front of his shirt.
"What did you walk into?" half laughed Henry
taking the opportunity to make fun of his longtime boss.
"There is nothing here to run into…” Dan murmured
as he looked away from the snickering of Henry. "Something
came up into my face and attacked me." Dan whined
even though he was desperately trying to keep his
composure.
Henry knowing that nothing lived on the sanctuary with
the exception of a few birds and rodents took the
opportunity to again make fun of his boss. "I think
your imagining things." Henry responded. "Something
probably fell off one of the trees and you were lucky
enough to walk into it." Henry then proceeded to
return to what he had been trying to do before Dan
interrupted him with a calm yet somewhat frightened
expression on his pale, bleeding face.

Chapter 2 B
“There’s water in
the car, Boss. Maybe you would want to wash yourself up”
said Henry. “I know what to do!” snapped Dan. The
tall, blonde man just shrugged his shoulders and
continued to take more supplies out of the abandoned gas
station’s convenience store and loaded them up onto the
pickup truck. Henry could hear Dan curse lightly under
his breath and reminded to himself Dan was after all the
boss.
Both men were feeling agitated at the fact that their
journey to Kilton City were now delayed all because of a
wrong turn. Looking up, Henry realised that dark clouds
were now looming and wondered if they could make it out
of the deserted town before the storm hit them. As if it
were an answer to his thoughts, lightning struck a tree
that was a mere 50 feet away from them.
Hurrying with the loading, both men climbed into the
truck just in time to avoid the sudden heavy splatter of
raindrops. It was too heavy to drive so they leaned
back, silently contemplating what to do. Looking out the
window, Henry tried to see past the raindrops when the
second bolt of lightning struck, this time closer than
the first. That’s when he saw it. What he thought was
the figure of a man, holding an axe. Taken aback, Henry
peered harder through the foggy glass and shook his
head. It was impossible. “This place is deserted”
thought Henry…”No one in their right mind would be
here, especially in this storm”

Chapter 3 C
However, as he began
to continue walking, Henry heard something. He then
sensed something was not right. He feared he was
followed by someone or something. This time, he was so
sure something bad was about to happen. Henry quickly
put on his leather jacket which he had brought along and
grabbed a torchlight from his right pocket and a crowbar
in his left. He quicky made his way home where he left
Dan resting. He woke Dan up and told him that someone or
something was actually following him as he was on the
way home. Dan reached for a shotgun. Both of them came
out from the house to check on the noise. They went out
quietly . It was close to midnight . The surroundings
turned pitch black. As soon as they stepped outside ,
the sound of laughter suddenly disappeared.. Henry and
Dan looked at each other . However, not long after that,
as they were about to turn around, they saw a a tall man
in a long coat standing in front of them with an axe in
his hand . He has scars all over his face . His fierce
look was enough to make Dan’s face turned white. Henry,
on the other hand tried to remain calm. Suddenly, the
man attacked Dan with the axe but Dan managed to avoid
it. Unfortunately, the axe had rested on Dan’s shoulder.Once
again, Dan was crying in pain and he was bleeding
profusely. Without thinking any further, Henry quickly
attacked the man with the crowbar while Dan tried to
shoot the man with his shotgun. However, his shot did
not hurt the man at all . The bullet went right through
him as if he was shooting a shadow. The man just laughed
.
“Why didn’t the bullet hurt him at all. Is he a human
or what?” asked Dan . “I don’t know what that is
but we have to figure out something, fast!!!”said
Henry.
Then, Dan saw something that might save them for a while.
”Let’s run to that mansion, maybe we could hide there
for a while.” said Dan. “Okay, I agree with that.”
replied Henry. So they ran to the mansion but the
attacker still pursued them. As soon as they reached the
mansion, Henry went in first, pushing the black wooden
door slowly followed by Dan. Cautiously, they went in
but before Dan fully shut the door, he saw the attacker
had vanished into thin air. The only sound heard was his
laughter. Both of them were speechless. Suddenly there
was silence.
They both were relief for a while as there was no
disturbance. Henry took the chance to treat Dan’s wound
with a piece of cloth that Henry had ripped off from his
own shirt . Not long after that they began to hear an
eerie, scratching sound from upstairs. “Hey, Henry.
Do you hear the sound that I am hearing right now?”
asked Dan. “Yeah,I hear It too. So what should we do
now? Should we check it out?”said Henry.

Chapter 4 F
„Ok, we got no
chance, so let's take it.”, said Henry quietly. It was
dark, they heard the storm blowing in the town. Dan
calmed down. “We... we had real luck that we've survived.
What are we gonna do now?” Henry began to think about
the situation after one more loud ruckus. If you're
trapped, what do you have to do? First of all, look for
an exit. Don't breath to much. Recognize, if all parts
of the body still work. He tried. Left leg on the right,
right Leg on the right, everything works. His right arm
was locked, but it wasn't hard to get it out of the hole.
“Dan?” he asked, hoping that Dan was also ok. But Dan
didn't answer. “Dan!” Henry screamed frightened. Dan
still didn't answer. Desperated Henry moved toward Dan
or where he thought Dan should be. Thn he felt a
somewhat warm thing. It was Dan's leg. He felt along
Dan's body until he reached Dan's head. A big stone had
fallen onto his head, probably just after Dan answered.
He had to leave Dan. Now he could see a bright spot. He
creeped up and ofter some obstacle he could finally
reach the outside. The storm subsided and now he had to
think about Dan was dead. After a walk to the place
where the struck was standing when they left he saw that
it wasn't there any longer. Henry thought about what to
do. Then he saw the ancient lighthouse of the town. “Shelter!”
He thought, “that's what I need now.” Henry started to
go there consternated.
Will Henry find shelter in the lighthouse?

Chapter 5 K
Henry walked towards
that terrible place.
The storm was finished but there was a lot of mud. His
shoes were muddy and he had to walk along a creaking
bridge over the sea to reach the lighthouse.
Fearless, Henry looked towards the worrying building. It
was gloomy and odd.
He reached the lighthouse and walked in. There was a
strange noise and the smell of smoke. The house was full
of spider-webs and dust but he noticed a footprint.
Puzzled, he walked up the stairs. In spite of the
creaking he walked towards the light. Strangely enough
he was at ease.
Suddenly a shape appeared after him. He turned
immediately: it was the man with the axe; dread ran
through his veins.
He took the crowbar and tried to hit him, but the man
with the axe was very strong and the try failed.
The man was furious and looked totally crazy but Henry
managed to escape from his chain saw.
Both of them ran up the lighthouse, the man caught
Henry's arm and pushed him against the railing. Henry
could not defend himself against the man's attack.
The man held the chain-saw and … Henry's head fell off.
A stream of blood got into the sea while the lighthouse
illuminated Henry's body.
